Our client is one of Europe’s largest and most respected engineering and geotechnical consultancies, known for delivering major infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects across the continent. With a reputation built on technical excellence and innovation, they are continuing to expand their UK operations and are seeking to add experienced Senior and Principal Engineering Geologists to their growing Leeds-based team.
In this role, you will play a key part in the delivery of complex ground engineering and geological investigations, supporting major civil engineering schemes throughout the UK. You’ll be responsible for overseeing fieldwork, managing ground investigations, interpreting geological data, liaising with clients, and contributing to technical reports. At the Principal level, you’ll also provide leadership across project teams and help mentor junior staff, while maintaining a strong focus on contract and commercial management. You will provide onsite and remote day to day operational control of multiple small to medium contracts / onsite control of individual large contract focusing on delivery. This includes safety, quality, cost control, performance to programme and customer service.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a closely related discipline
* Significant experience in engineering geology, ideally in a consultancy or contractor environment
* Proven expertise in contract management within the ground engineering sector
* Full UK driving licence
* The right to live and work in the UK
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders across large-scale infrastructure projects
