Field Service Engineer
Salary: Circa £45k based on 40 hours a week, paid door-to-door, with overtime thereafter.
Travel: UK travel required; must be prepared to stay away when needed. Occasional visits to Europe and further afield, such as Singapore, may also be involved.

Role Overview: The candidate will serve as a technician both off and on-site for special purpose machinery powered by diesel engines and electric motors, featuring large high-pressure hydraulic systems and electronic control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform site visits within the UK and potentially abroad.
* Disassemble malfunctioning equipment to locate and repair broken parts.
* Complete repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance according to customer needs and schedules.
* Maintain tools and test equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
* Document work performed and liaise with customers on-site.
Candidate Requirements:
* Full UK driving license.
* Engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Physically fit to lift 40kg unassisted.
* Experience in technical support roles, especially fault diagnosis on hydraulic and electrical systems.
* Previous experience as a field technical engineer on-site.
* Good communication skills for customer and internal interactions.
* Experience with Can Bus control systems, hydraulic variable displacement pumps, and logic control valves is advantageous.
