Hours: Mon–Thu 9:00am–4:45pm, Fri 8:30am–4:00pm (35 hours per week)
Finance Assistant – About our client:
Our client, a small and friendly team based in Hitchin, is looking for a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Supervisor with day-to-day financial processing and administration. This is a varied role, requiring a proactive, can-do approach.
Finance Assistant – Details:
1. 35 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 9:00am–4:45pm, Friday 8:30am–4:00pm
2. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

Finance Assistant – Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
5. Monitor inboxes and respond within agreed SLA
6. Raise customer invoices and email to customers
7. Chase overdue invoices and manage credit control
8. Reconcile aged debtors at month end
9. Process debit/credit card payments by telephone
Accounts Payable:
10. Enter expense invoices and resolve queries
11. Process staff expenses in line with company policies
12. Handle petty cash
13. Reconcile aged creditors at month end
Administration:
14. Maintain accurate financial records and spreadsheets
15. Provide administrative support and communicate with customers and suppliers
16. Book hotel rooms for Sales Account Managers as required
17. Maintain utility accounts and manage meter readings/queries
18. Assist with year-end financial audit
19. Undertake ad hoc tasks as required
Finance Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
20. Experience in a similar finance/administration role
21. Good knowledge of financial systems (training provided)
22. Proficient in MS Outlook and Excel
23. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise workload
24. Strong communicator and team player, able to work independently when required
