Overview
Occupational Therapists work across all areas of adult social care, partnering with individuals, families, and carers to deliver holistic assessments, evidence-based interventions and ensure safeguarding is central to all practice. The role supports residents in Essex to live independently and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop person‑centred, strengths‑based plans.
* Deliver interventions that support independence and quality of life.
* Maintain statutory compliance with HCPC and the Care Act, including safeguarding duties.
* Collaborate with partner agencies and the local community to build supportive relationships.
* Travel throughout Essex and beyond; must hold a valid driving licence and use a car or meet mobility requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC.
* Demonstrated evidence‑based practice and awareness of financial considerations and risk.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to person‑centred care and statutory responsibilities.
* Innovative thinking, reliability and practical ability to get things done.
* Valid driving licence and a car, or alternative mobility solution.
