Location: Bomber County Produce, Willow Farm, Dogdyke, Lincolnshire. LN4 4UY
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Salary with overtime (depending on role and experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday with flexibility for weekend working. 7am to approx. 5pm daily
About the Role:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to support all aspects of our busy operation. The business involves growing, harvesting, packing and out-loading across a variety of enterprises but primarily leeks and asparagus
This is a hands-on and rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about farming, production and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities: Crop & Farm Operations:
* Tractor driving; planting, carting, irrigation, fertiliser application, hoeing and cultivations
* General farm work including crop care and the planting, growing, and harvesting of leeks and asparagus
* On occasion assist with arable operations and livestock care (for suitable candidates)
* As a minimum, basic maintenance of machinery mostly within the leek and asparagus enterprises
* Loading and unloading of rig trailers and lorries -
* Maintain cleanliness and follow safety protocols
* Team work, working cooperatively with other farm staff when required
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
* Full clean driving license
* Permanent right to work in the UK
* Previous experience in agriculture or horticulture industry
* Ability to work 48 hours per week with flexibility for weekends
* Self-reliant and able to manage time and tasks without supervision, using initiative and able to follow both verbal and written instructions
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Attention to detail
* Ability to use modern technology including GPS
* Comfortable with manual handling and repetitive tasks
Desirable:
* Certificates for forklift truck, telescopic handler and tractor operation
* Workshop experience
* Experience in packhouse or production work
* Understanding of compliance, hygiene, and safety standards
