We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Director of Languages to lead and develop our provision across both Modern Foreign Languages and English.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Oversight: Lead the "Languages" agenda, ensuring English and MFL work in synergy to improve whole-school literacy and communication.
* Capacity Building: Mentor and develop the internal leadership within the MFL team following their recent departmental promotion.
* English Excellence: Oversee curriculum design and student outcomes at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
* Pedagogical Leadership: Model outstanding classroom practice and lead high-impact CPD for staff across both departments.
Qualifications
* Outstanding classroom practitioner with strong subject expertise, especially in English.
* Proven leadership experience or clear capacity to step into a high-level strategic role.
* Ability to navigate the nuances of MFL pedagogy to support and challenge a developing team.
* Commitment to securing a long-term, sustainable leadership legacy for the school.
