Temporary Accommodation Support Officer - Domestic Abuse
SO2: Starting salary £42,912 incl LW

About the Role
We are recruiting a TA Support Officer – Domestic Abuse to provide trauma‑informed support to households in Temporary Accommodation (TA) who are at risk due to domestic abuse (DA). The role ensures the safety, stability and access to appropriate housing solutions for these households while minimising repeat homelessness.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering personalised safety plans, responding proactively to escalating risks and ensuring timely safeguarding interventions. You will work collaboratively with specialist domestic abuse services, safeguarding teams, police, health practitioners, children’s services and internal housing teams to coordinate effective case management and ensure all practice aligns with DAHA principles, embedding high‑quality domestic abuse responses across all areas of work.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver individualized safety plans for domestic abuse survivors in temporary accommodation.
* Respond proactively to escalating risks and implement timely safeguarding interventions.
* Coordinate with specialist domestic abuse services, safeguarding teams, police, health practitioners, child protection services and housing teams.
* Embed and promote DAHA principles throughout domestic abuse response work.
* Maintain accurate records and case records in line with organisational and statutory requirements.
* Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
