The BOOST Project Worker role will focus on improving educational achievement through work with children and their parents. Responsibilities
* Working with pupils to engage them in learning and improve numeracy and literacy attainment, using a range of interventions
* Working with parents, delivering home learning packs, information sessions and programmes to support parents to promote learning at home, with a focus on literacy and numeracy
* Delivering family learning sessions after school for children and parents to engage in learning activities together
Skills and Qualifications
* Professional qualification to degree level in teaching i.e. Bachelor of Education or Degree with PGCE
* Demonstrable experience of teaching children in a primary school setting
* Demonstrable experience of using creative approaches to promote children’s numeracy and literacy.
Further Information
Salary: £27,573 - £36,389.29 per annum, pro rata.The BOOST programme is part of the THRiVE Newtownabbey collective impact project. We work with children and families to support children's learning and development. We work in schools and communities to help improve connections between children, parents, schools and communities to improve outcomes for children.
