About the Role and Key Responsibilities
As a Computing and Business Studies Teacher working with TailorEDucation, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons within a secondary school in the Sheerness area.
This is a long-term supply booking, working five days per week, offering a full-time opportunity to make a sustained impact within the school community.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in Computing and Business Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, where applicable). You will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, challenge students to achieve their full potential, and support pupils in developing both academic knowledge and practical skills relevant to the modern digital and business world.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and delivering high-quality Computing and Business Studies lessons
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students
• Preparing students for internal assessments and public examinations
• Creating a positive and productive classroom environment
• Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress
• Contributing to the wider school community and upholding school policies
Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a passion for teaching are essential for success in this role.

The Ideal Candidate Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Computing and/or Business Studies within a UK secondary school
• The ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
• Strong subject knowledge in Computing and Business Studies
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan, assess, and differentiate effectively
• Availability to commit to a full-time, long-term role (five days per week)
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
