Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to apply for a Clinical Lead to work collaboratively with ward Manager, to complement each other in achieving Quality and Assurance. The ward is a 16 bedded community rehabilitation unit in the seaside town of Whitby, North Yorkshire.

Work alongside the locality matron and Ward manager in the achievement of clinical excellence, patient safety and regulatory assurance.
Main duties of the job Some of the main duties include:
Provide clinical & professional leadership to the team.
Use advanced clinical skills to support and advise on service development and the delivery of evidence-based care in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers, & other agencies
Support development of clinical competencies
Carry out clinical supervision
Carry out clinical audits
Lead on investigation and learning from clinical incidents

Person Specification Skills and Competencies Essential Effective inter-personal skills and experience in supervising and mentoring and teaching
Able to demonstrate effective communication skills
Ability to lead/motivate staff to embrace change
Non medical prescribing V300 or willingness to work towards
Desirable Teaching and mentoring qualification
Experience Essential Evidence of advanced practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
Leadership/management experience which has had a positive impact and created change within the service delivery/practice
Evidence of sound post -registration professional practice
Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area to advanced level of post -graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge /experiential learning

Qualifications and Knowledge Essential Be a member of a recognised professional body and hold a current professional registration
