We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. long and short-term stays.
An exciting opportunity has arisen with in the South Coast Nursing Homes for a Care Home Trainer, this role will be responsible for embedding training in our homes, and continuously improving standards.
The training team is committed to providing professional, respectful and quality training ensuring all staff are trained to the highest quality.
Due to expansion, we have a full time role – 40hrs per week and a Part Time role 30hrs per week. Usual hours will be 8am-4pm, however some flexibility maybe required to support those on nights and weekends.
As a Home Training Assistant, you will:
1. Support in the onboarding of new starters to ensure the best patient care is provided
2. Carry out induction plans and complete 6 weeks of observed practice, provide useful and effective objectives and feedback
3. Complete 12-week professional discussion for the Care Certificate
4. Support employees with any performance issues and devise action plans in conjunction with the home manager
5. Observe homes and employees working practices for any additional training needs they may have
6. Assess and complete competency with new and existing staff, including medication
7. Keep up to date records
More about you:
8. Working knowledge of the care sector
9. NVQ 3-5 in Health and Social Care
10. Passionate about improving others skills, with a focus on driving improvements in the training delivered
11. Kind, caring, positive approach
12. Flexibility in response to changing business needs
13. Excellent communication skills written and verbal
14. Able to use Microsoft Office
15. Being a driver and having your own transport would be advantageous

16. Salary of up to £30,000, Pro rata for part time hours (Dependent on experience)
