Salary: Soulbury Scale A 3 - 8 (+ up to 3 SPAs) Previously awarded SPA points will be honoured

£50,627 - £61,848 Plus Outer London Allowance (£2,372)

Contract: Permanent, 2 full time positions | 2 Part time can be negotiated at or above FTE | Enhanced DBS check required

Due to members of our current team being successful in securing senior posts in our service, alongside a thriving and developing traded service, Enfield Council is seeking to fill maingrade EP posts to join our friendly, dynamic and well-regarded Educational Psychology Service.

As a member of our team, you be joining an EPS that is dedicated to providing a high-quality service for Enfield’s children, young people and their families.

We are a service with a strong focus on emotional health and wellbeing, developing trauma informed and culturally responsive practice. The EPS takes a lead across several areas across the partnership such as trauma informed practice, emotional based school non-attendance, autism and developing the role of senior mental health leads. We have a history of multi-agency working, and all of our EPs have a range of opportunities to work within existing and/or new projects and develop specialist interests. Current commissioned projects include the Virtual School for LAC, CiN/CP; Youth Justice Service; Primary Behaviour Support Service (or SWERRL), Children who are Educated Other than at School/College (EOTAS/C); Admissions (for newly arrived children with SEN), Mental Health Support Teams, Advisory Service for Autism, Communication Advisory Support Service, ELSA and MeLSA.

You will be joining a skilled and supportive team that is well-respected by schools and services across Enfield. All EPs have a patch of schools where you can develop strong relationships and partnership working.

You will benefit from a supportive senior leadership team, committed to supporting team belonging, wellbeing and work life balance. There is a service wide CPD programme providing ongoing training where we can learn, grow and reflect together. Peer and group supervision sessions are planned alongside regular individual supervision.

We have strong links with the Doctoral training courses and are committed to supporting our Trainee Educational Psychologists on placement.

We are supportive by a friendly, efficient dedicated business support team and are based in an attractive and well-appointed central office base in the Civic Centre in Enfield Town with free car parking to provide easy access to the team base. The EPS is co-located with other teams in the People department, including SEN, School and Early Years Improvement and Public Health.

We warmly welcome applications from Trainee EPs who are due to qualify by September 2024 or 2025 and will have HCPC registration confirmed following the completion of a recognised training course.

The successful applicant will visit settings in Enfield and outside of the borough.
