 
        
        Overview
This role is for a full time Ophthalmic Photographer working 37.5 hours a week. You will be required to work as an autonomous Ophthalmic Photographer, whilst also working as part of, and contributing to, a multi-disciplinary Ophthalmic team across the Ashford and St Peters' Trust as well as satellite sites run by the trust.
Responsibilities
 * Undertake various ophthalmic diagnostic tests required during busy clinics including Fluorescein Angiography, Indocyanine Green Angiography, Facial Photographs, Slit Lamp photos, OCT (anterior and posterior), autofluorescence, red free multicolour and colour fundus photography on various pieces of equipment as well as corneal topography and specular microscopy.
 * Perform visual field tests and be willing to learn new skills to support all clinics in the ophthalmology department.
 * Work in both the main outpatient clinics as well as digital surveillance clinics covering a wide variety of eye conditions including AMD, diabetic maculopathy/retinopathy, corneal problems, glaucoma and other general pathologies.
 * Support Band 4 Senior Ophthalmic Technicians as well as HCA & nursing staff with their duties and give advice, support and training where required.
 * Be fully competent in OCT of the macula and discs as well as specified areas of the retina and to use different fundus cameras to document eye pathologies required for baseline and monitoring measures. Corneal clinics require use of corneal topography imaging and corneal microscopy for endothelial cell counts.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Experience using varied ophthalmic imaging equipment and software management systems.
 * Must be able to perform Fluorescein Angiograms and Slit Lamp photographs during busy clinics.
 * Ability to support staff and provide advice, guidance, and training where required.
