HR Advisor - Employee Relations

Employee Relations Advisor 24 hours pw
Up to £27,000pa (FTE) dependant on experience
A non-exhaustive list of the key role responsibilities is detailed below:
Support the implementation of disciplinary procedures and processes, ensuring consistency and fairness in their application.
Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations documentation and records.
Assist in other HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and performance management.
Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and impartial handling of cases.
Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee relations issues, gathering relevant information and conducting interviews as necessary.
Collaborate with managers to address performance-related issues and develop appropriate corrective action plans.
Mediate and facilitate discussions between employees and management to resolve conflicts and improve working relationships.
Assist in the development and implementation of employee relations policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with employment laws and organizational values.
Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
Analyse employee relations data and trends to identify areas of improvement and recommend proactive solutions.
Monitor employee morale and engagement levels, proposing initiatives to improve employee satisfaction.
Support the implementation of disciplinary procedures and processes, ensuring consistency and fairness in their application.
Provide confidentiality at all times.
To undertake relevant training as directed by their Line Manager.
The post holder may be directed by their line manger to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.
A list of the desired skills, experience, knowledge and personal attributes to ensure individuals are:
Proven experience as an Employee Relations Advisor or in a similar role, handling employee relations matters within an organization.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR policies and practices.
Strong understanding of conflict resolution techniques and mediation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees and management at all levels.
Ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyse employee relations issues and recommend appropriate actions.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other relevant HR tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.
Bachelors degree in HR, or a related field is advantageous.
Knowledge of conflict resolution and mediation techniques is preferred.
