Art and Design Technology Teacher

We are working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Chorley to appoint a creative and skilled Art and Design Technology Teacher to join their team from 23rd February until the end of the academic year.
This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who can inspire students across Art and DT, fostering creativity, technical skills and confidence in a practical learning environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Teach Art and Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Plan and deliver engaging, creative and practical lessons
* Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
* Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom/workshop environment
* Support students of mixed abilities to achieve their full potential
* Contribute positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology in a secondary setting
* Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to high-quality teaching
* Have a strong understanding of curriculum requirements and health & safety in practical subjects
* Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
