Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Application Support Officer for our client a local government organisation in Chester.
The successful candidate will support an essential team responsible for ensuring the effective operational delivery of the organisation's ERP system as part of a Transactional Shared Service.
The role has a focus on system administration, monitoring performance, maintaining system stability and working through support calls and service requests.
This role is a 2 month initial contract with the possibility to extend.
DutiesandResponsibilitiesbutnotlimitedto:
Responsible for ensuring the effective operational support and development of the Unit4 ERP system on behalf of the organisations.
Manage service requests, escalating system defects and service requests with the 3rd party support contract.
Provide frontline support of the Unit4 and linked systems including troubleshooting system problems, providing resolution.
Processing service requests, access/security administration, UAT, and supporting system upgrades.
Day to day responsibility for monitoring the system performance, support/defect calls and service requests.
Undertake system administration duties for the Unit4 application.
PersonalRequirements:
Must also have a history of working in system administration providing support for system defects and providing front line support.
Experience and knowledge of transactional, finance and/or payroll processes is desirable as well as experience of investigating and troubleshooting system errors.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way.
A pro-active and positive attitude with the ability to manage pressure effectively within a fast-paced environment is key.
Functional configuration background ideally relating to Unit4 but other similar roles and experience would be desirable.
Knowledge of the Unit4 application would be desirable as would experience in a similar system or position.
WorkingHours:
37hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday
Pay: £22.85 per hr
