We are looking for a Lead Head Housekeeper to join our Operations team and provide cross-village leadership, guidance and practical support to our housekeeping teams.
About the role. As Lead Head Housekeeper you will support housekeeping services across Belong villages, ensuring consistent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, infection prevention and customer experience. You will work closely with Head Housekeepers, village management teams and central support colleagues to provide coaching, audits, quality reviews, improvement support and hands‑on guidance where needed. This is a visible, practical and people‑focused role, ideal for an experienced housekeeping professional ready to make an impact across multiple sites.
What we are looking for. We need a professional with strong housekeeping experience, excellent standards and a natural ability to support and influence others. You will need:
* Significant experience in a senior housekeeping role
* Experience within care, hospitality or another service‑led environment
* Strong knowledge of cleaning processes, equipment, products and safe working practices
* Understanding of COSHH and infection prevention and control
* Experience carrying out audits, quality checks or risk assessments
* The ability to coach, mentor and develop others
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* A practical, hands‑on approach
* Good customer service skills and a desire to make a positive difference
* Budget awareness and the ability to work with suppliers
* The ability to travel regularly across Belong villages
* A full driving licence
* A relevant cleaning qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Building Interiors, would be desirable; we would also consider someone willing to work towards this.
