Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, and provide podiatric care for patients in a variety of settings.
* Provide treatment to maintain mobility, independence, tissue viability, and relieve discomfort, especially for patients at risk due to diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and other systemic and localised conditions.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, acting as a source of advice for patients, carers, GP’s, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine with a Certificate in Local Anaesthesia.
* Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
* Experience working in the community and NHS (beneficial).
* Excellent clinical, communication, and organisational skills, and a positive attitude to personal and professional development.
Key Requirements
Travel is an integral part of this post; applicants must state how they intend to fulfill this requirement. The role is offered on a bank basis with no guaranteed hours but offers flexibility by allowing selection of shifts around your lifestyle.
Contract Details
Hours per week: bank. The role requires an Enhanced DBS check with barred lists, the cost of which is payable by the successful candidate. If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.
