WGM Engineering Ltd, part of RSK Group has an exciting vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Projects team on a permanent contract, covering sites across the Central Belt of Scotland. About the Role The role of a Mechanical Engineer at WGM is a hands on, site-based role where you will deliver mechanical maintenance, refurbishment and new installation works across a variety of client sites, including Scottish Water. You will also undertake testing and pre-commissioning activities and ensure all work aligns with current regulations and WIMES specifications. Key Responsibilities Maintain, repair and install mechanical equipment including pumps, pipework, screens, valves, gratings, handrailing and related components. Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation technicians, commissioning engineers and client operations teams. Carry out efficient fault-finding and problem resolution across a range of mechanical equipment such as sewage pumps, valves, blowers, screens and filtration systems. Participate actively in Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and all relevant Health & Safety processes. Interpret RAMS and prepare daily TSRA documentation. Provide accurate information and on-site support to internal teams and interdepartmental functions. Travel to and work across various client sites as required. Demonstrate strong communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach. Person Specification Previous experience in a similar engineering role Strong technical capability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Solid understanding of pumps and mechanical components Proven experience using engineering measuring equipment A commitment to high standards of work and continuous improvement.
