Senior Clinical Research Nurse (OC)

Location: Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK
The role is a full‑time Band 6 Senior Clinical Research Nurse, responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical research studies across the Trust’s sites. The successful candidate will support the Cross‑Specialty research teams, ensuring high‑quality care and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver clinical research studies across all MFT sites.
- Guide and advise patients throughout the research journey.
- Collaborate with Cross‑Specialty research teams and clinical departments.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Trust policies.
- Maintain accurate research documentation and data entry.
- Support trial management, including recruitment, consent, and adverse event reporting.
- Provide training and support to clinical staff on research procedures.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse currently registered with the NMC.
- Degree in a healthcare subject or equivalent experience.
- Good Clinical Practice certificate.
Training and Experience
- Proven experience working in a clinical environment.
- Experience managing deadlines and a busy workload.
- Experience explaining complex concepts to patients.
- Experience in clinical research and CPD involvement.
- Interest in advancing research.
Knowledge & Skills
- ICH‑GCP, clinical research regulations and governance.
- Clinical practice regulations relating to clinical research.
- Trust policies and procedures.
- IT skills including email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, patient information systems, and IT training.
- Clinical skills such as venepuncture.
- Patient confidentiality and information governance.
- People management capabilities.

Salary: £39,959 to £48,117 per annum (Pro Rata)
