Our client, a leading entity in the defence and security as well as aerospace sectors, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer - Requirements & DOORS to join their team on a contract basis. Based in Greater London, the focus is on developing world-class flight simulators that are shaping the future of aviation training. If you are a talented Systems Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology and a desire to work on projects that push the boundaries of aerospace innovation, this is the opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Management: Elicit, capture, analyse, and validate system requirements from stakeholders including customers, regulatory bodies (e.g., FAA, EASA), and internal teams. Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) using tools such as DOORS, Jama, or similar platforms. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. System Design & Architecture: Develop high-level and detailed system designs and architectures for flight simulation systems, including hardware, software, and network components. Define system interfaces and ensure interoperability between subsystems and third-party components. Create and manage system models using tools like SysML/UML or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) frameworks. System Analysis: Perform functional and performance analysis of simulation systems, identifying potential design risks and mitigation strategies. Conduct trade studies to evaluate design options against performance, cost, and schedule constraints. Use analytical tools and simulations to verify system behaviours and performance predictions. Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Lead or participate in all phases of the SDLC-from concept, requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification/validation, and deployment. Support integration and test teams by defining verification and validation plans and criteria. Participate in technical reviews and audits (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.) and contribute to configuration management and change control processes. Job Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience in systems engineering within the aerospace or flight simulation industry. Proven experience in managing requirements and system design for complex, real-time systems. Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, or equivalent aerospace standards is highly desirable. Experience with system engineering tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, MATLAB/Simulink). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable: Experience with flight simulation systems such as FFS (Full Flight Simulators), FTD (Flight Training Devices), or other man-in-the-loop simulation environments. Certification or training in INCOSE Systems Engineering practices. Exposure to agile or hybrid development methodologies. Additional Considerations: May require occasional travel to customer sites or test facilities. Office-based with lab and simulator facility interaction. Must be eligible to work worldwide and obtain necessary security clearances if required. If you are an experienced Systems Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding contract role in a dynamic aerospace environment, we encourage you to apply now and join our client's innovative team in Greater London. ``` ADZN1_UKTJ
