Full-time: 37 hours per week. Fixed-term for 12 months

OPEN TO RECENT UNIVERSITY OF CHICHESTER GRADUATES ONLY

About this role
The Events Intern plays a hands‑on role in planning and delivering a wide range of University events — from open days to graduate celebrations, and key moments in the student recruitment calendar. You’ll be right at the heart of creating memorable experiences for prospective students, their families, and our wider community.

Working within our friendly and experienced Events Team, you’ll support every stage of the event cycle: planning, logistics, set‑up, on‑the‑day delivery, and post‑event evaluation. No two days look the same, and you’ll quickly build real‑world skills in organisation, communication, teamwork, and customer service. Some evening and weekend work will be required during major University‑wide events.

About You
We’re looking for a proactive University of Chichester graduate who’s excited to dive into the world of events. This 12‑month internship is designed to help you grow your confidence, build your CV, and gain experience that will support your future career.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

1. Have an interest in events, marketing, communications or student engagement
2. Enjoy working with people and delivering excellent customer service
3. Bring strong organisational skills and can juggle multiple deadlines
4. Are enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to get stuck in
5. Want to contribute to shaping the experience of future Chichester students

About the Team
You’ll join a warm, collaborative, and student‑focused Events Team who take pride in delivering high‑quality experiences while maintaining a healthy work–life balance. We’re a supportive group who enjoy what we do — and we’re excited to welcome someone who wants to learn, grow, and make a real impact.

In addition to your salary we offer a competitive reward package with a range of staff benefits and discounts which include:

6. A flexible defined contribution pension scheme via Aviva Master Trust (FlexHE).
7. A paid closure period over the Christmas break is in addition to our generous holiday allowance with bank holidays too and an occupational sickness scheme.
8. On-site gym at our Chichester campus.
9. 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme to support our staff.
10. Extensive personal / professional training opportunities throughout the year.
11. Cycle to work, Season Ticket Loan and Electric Vehicle schemes.
12. Bus travel for staff between our Bognor Regis and Chichester campuses and Chichester town centre.

Enquiries are welcomed by Claire Nowell, Events Manager via email at C.Nowell@chi.ac.uk.

13. Closing Date: 24 June 2026
14. Interview Date: TBC
