Senior Bid & Contracts Manager
GAP Group, the UK's largest independent equipment hire company, is looking for an ambitious and commercially astute Senior Bid & Contracts Manager to join our growing Commercial function. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a newly created role, shaping how GAP manages high value bids, tenders, and contracts across the entire business.

You’ll work with stakeholders right across the business giving you a unique view of how the whole business operates and a chance to directly influence its growth and success.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the full lifecycle of bids and tenders, from early qualification right through to post submission negotiation
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer contracts and framework agreements
* Ensuring all commercial terms support GAP's operational, financial and risk standards
* Working closely with senior leadership and divisional teams to shape commercially competitive proposals
* Identifying commercial risk and recommending practical mitigation strategies
* Managing contract renewals and supporting teams in delivering contractual obligations
* Elevating the quality, consistency and efficiency of bids across the business
* Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customer procurement teams
* Continuously improving processes, tools, and content within the bid and contracts function
What We're Looking for
* Proven experience in senior bid, commercial or contracts management roles (ideally within construction, plant hire, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors)
* Strong understanding of public & private sector procurement
* High commercial acumen with the ability to interpret legal and financial information
* Exceptional writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Highly organised with strong project management capability and the ability to deliver under pressure
* Confident influencing style with the ability to challenge constructively
* Collaborative approach and ability to work across multiple specialist divisions
* Ability to analyse risk, negotiate effectively, and improve commercial outcomes
* Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high quality outputs
* Resilient, proactive, and eager to learn about all areas of the business
