We are seeking patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support schools in the Hayes area on a long-term temporary basis. As part of our pool of supply staff, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to a child’s learning journey in a friendly primary school environment.
Duties as SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils in Year 3 with special educational needs (SEN).
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs and promote inclusion.
* Support students’ social, emotional and behavioural development to help them gain confidence and independence.
* Assist with classroom preparation and maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children who have SEN (such as ASD, ADHD, or other learning differences) is highly desirable.
* A caring and empathetic approach with excellent communication skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are an advantage, though strong practical experience will also be considered.
