Bouygues Energies & Services / EQUANS Bouygues Energies & Services (part of Equans) has a fantastic opportunity available for a Site Performance and Production Monitoring Lead to join us based at the Hinkley Point C (HPC) site in Bridgwater. The role offers a unique opportunity for someone to work on the emergency diesel generators (EDG) scope of the Hinkley Point C project, one of the most exciting projects out there! This would be a great position for someone from a site project controls or project engineering background, who is comfortable going on site and engaging with the supervision teams. Job Purpose: To support, coordinate, and monitor the execution of daily construction activities within the Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) scope of the HPC project. Responsible for ensuring necessary preparation and readiness conditions are met to maximise productivity and performance on site. The Role: Planning & Coordination Build the Shift S1 Installation Plan through coordination with Construction Management and Supervision (Black Hats), Quality, and Site Engineering, taking into consideration: Building restrictions Material availability Approved documentation (workpacks) Workforce & resource availability Work closely with the Construction Engineer to prepare for the next shift. Lead the Shift S1 Validation Meeting and the Shift Kick-off Meeting. Contribute actively to the update of the 16WLA (long-term planning). On-site Production Monitoring Conduct daily site walks to monitor installation execution and identify blockers (access, material, documentation, workforce issues). Actively engage and coordinate with Black Hats, Construction Managers, and site teams to resolve issues promptly and reduce productivity loss. Act as the guarantor that the workforce does not deviate from the validated Shift S1 Plan without valid reasons. Prepare and maintain a contingency “backup work” plan to mitigate unexpected blockers. Work closely with the Construction Engineer to understand the technical constraints slowing down progress and to address these challenges. Performance Analysis & Reporting Monitor and analyse: Daily production output (planned vs. actual) Lost time and root causes Productivity trends and recurrent blockages Categorise blockers as internal or external: For internal issues, identify whether they are one-off or systemic, propose and support solutions, and escalate persistent issues to management. For external stoppages, liaise with the Contract Quantity Surveyor (QS) to ensure proper documentation and verify claimability to the client. Take the lead in producing the Onsite Construction Monthly Progress Report, ensuring accurate data and a clear, structured progress narrative. About You: Experience in construction site operations, with exposure to planning, performance monitoring, and engineering coordination. Comfortable and experienced in working within a construction site environment, with the confidence to engage with and challenge the site workforce effectively. Able to analyse production data and report effectively. Mechanical or electrical engineering background preferred. Experience working on nuclear, energy, or large infrastructure projects preferred.
