Our public sector client is recruiting for a number of Housing Needs Officers to join their Housing/Tenancy Services team on an initial 3 month contract Although this is initially a short contract it is highly likely that extensions/ other and perm opportunities will arise. To act as the first point of contact for customers experiencing homelessness, and other council teams and external agencies who are working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. To provide housing advice and information, helping people to apply to the councils homelessness service and signposting towards other on services in the city for further support. Making initial decisions on homelessness applications, determine eligibility to apply to the councils service and homeless as defined in Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended).
