Job Summary
This role is offered on a permanent basis, full-time at 37.5 hours per week.
We welcome a highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Gloucestershire team. We are expanding our FEES, Tracheostomy, and Videofluoroscopy services and training pathways. Sessions are available in outpatient and community settings, providing opportunities to work with a range of service users across Gloucestershire.
Our team is friendly, dynamic, and focused on quality service delivery. Band 6 therapists receive regular peer supervision and opportunities to develop skills in FEES, VFS, and tracheostomy. This position is suitable for a Band 6 therapist or an experienced Band 5 therapist looking to expand their competencies. Applicants may discuss part‑time or flexible working patterns.
Main duties of the job
* Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with acquired communication, voice, and swallowing disorders across diverse settings such as community hospitals, outpatient clinics, patient homes, and care homes.
* Manage and prioritise clinical workload, seeking guidance from team leads as required.
* Supervise Speech and Language Therapy assistants or newly qualified SLTs.
* Work autonomously within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust policies, maintaining accurate electronic records.
* Participate in service improvement projects as indicated.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* Recognised Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists degree‑level qualification.
* Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
* Member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Essential Experience
* Experience managing patients with communication and swallowing difficulties following acquired disorders.
* Collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams.
