About the Role
This is a part-time, fixed-term role role until July 10th 2026. Your teaching schedule will mainly consist of afternoon/evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Leeds City College are seeking a Cake Decorating & Patisserie Teacher to join our School of Travel, Food & Drink, where we prepare learners with the highest level of skills and industry knowledge. Our aim is to ensure every learner leaves ready to thrive in the hospitality and food sector.
As a teacher with us, you will not only deliver engaging lessons but also pass on your passion, creativity, and knowledge to help learners succeed. You will play a vital role in shaping the future of the food and drink industry by developing the talent and confidence of tomorrow’s patisserie chefs and decorators.
Applicants must already possess a high level of skill and professional expertise in both cake decorating and patisserie, with the ability to demonstrate techniques to a professional standard. You will be committed to excellence, confident in your craft, and enthusiastic about teaching, mentoring, and inspiring others.Teaching experience is desirable but not essential – we welcome industry experts who want to train and develop the next generation, and we will support you in building your teaching skills.
The role would be ideal for somebody who is currently working in industry and is looking for an additional part-time opportunity.
At the School of Travel, Food & Drink, you will be part of a passionate, supportive team dedicated to excellence. You’ll work in a creative environment where your expertise helps learners achieve recognised City & Guilds qualifications and prepares them for rewarding careers in the industry.
What You Will Do
1. Deliver inspiring and practical lessons in cake decorating and patisserie.
2. Teach adult learners, helping them achieve City & Guilds qualifications.
3. Share your industry knowledge and demonstrate high-level techniques.
4. Support, mentor, and motivate learners to reach their full potential.
5. Be responsible for tracking student progress.
6. Contribute to maintaining the school’s reputation for excellence in food education.
About You
