Alan T Carr is a leading distributor of plumbing, heating and sanitaryware, supplying bathroom showrooms and plumbing wholesalers throughout the UK.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Representative to join our team based in Burscough Lancashire on a permanent basis. This role reports to the Sales Office Manager and will be working within the internal sales team.
Having a background/understanding of sanitaryware/plumbing is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* To work with the internal sales team providing a high-quality service to customers by providing accurate information relating to delivery, stock and pricing.
* Taking and processing customer orders.
* To keep in regular contact with cusomers to advise on pricing and current promotions to increase sales.
* Maintaining excellent working relationships with existing and new customers.
* Liaise sensitively between customers and credit control department to minimise overdue accounts.
* Providing customers with product technical specifications.
Candidate Requirements:
* Ideally you will be experienced in being able to increase sales to existing customers, identifying sales opportunities and being proactive.
* This role requires the candidate to be enthusiastic and reliable, hard-working, conscientious and have the desire to succeed.
* The candidate should also have a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and be competent in IT.
