This is a key position in the Planning Policy team to support the preparation of the Powys Replacement Local Development Plan..
About you:
The right person will:
1. Be passionate about working for a rural local planning authority.
Have previous experience of working in planning or a related sector.
2. Be a good communicator and enjoy working as part of a team and with other people and organisations.
3. Have experience of Geographical Information Systems and database management.
Have an attention for detail.
What you will do:
The job holder will support the Council by:
4. Undertaking research and evidence gathering on specific planning policy topic areas to inform planning policy.
5. Engaging and collaborating with partners and stake-holders on the development of planning policy.
6. Monitoring the delivery and impact of planning policies.
