Job Summary
Moog is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join the Product Engineering function in Moog Aircraft Group based in Tewkesbury. This role serves as a focal point for resolving complex technical issues concerning the design, assembly and test processes for production hardware. Within the role you’ll be providing engineering support to the sustainment and new product introduction teams. This role is key to the early development and implementation of new products and processes into the production environment, and the assessment of aftermarket products returning from in-service.The Senior Product Engineer will take the lead in product or process changes to improve system performance to better meet customer/other user needs. You’ll use your ability to analyse production data to identify improvement opportunities and maintain processes in control. You’ll be utilizing APQP techniques and tools to support PPAP submission. Key Skills and experience: Possession of a qualification within a relevant engineering discipline such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent), although we will consider applications from individuals with a lower qualification if they can demonstrate substantial relevant experience in a previous role.Proven project leadership capabilities; providing direction, guidance and subject matter expertise as part of a technical team.Experienced in training Assembly & Test Technicians.A thorough knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic principles and a sound understanding of design concepts, technical specifications and drawings.Experienced in PFMEA, Control Plans & Process Flow Diagrams creation and updates through the product life cycle.Experience in developing Assembly & Test processes and procedures including tooling concept designs, flow line and single piece A&T concepts.Ability to demonstrate a broad understanding of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic testing principles.Proficient in the use of Minitab, MS Project & MS Excel.Fantastic interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.
