The role


Bristol University Press (BUP) is an award-winning social science publisher committed to making a difference and influencing social change.

We are looking to recruit for a full-time finance and sales administrator. This key team member will liaise and support BUP teams with financial tasks within the University of Bristol's (UoB) finance system, have a large part in month end activities, monitor finance and royalties' inboxes, liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as central UoB teams, our authors and global academic institutions.

Authors earn royalties when books are sold, this finance and sales administration role will play an important part in the annual royalties' process, from setting up authors in our editorial system to managing payment queries.

The post holder will part of a 3 person BUP finance team and will require hybrid office working.


What will you be doing?


Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

* Collaborate with BUP teams to raise and track purchase orders and sales orders on the UoB finance system ERP
* Inbox monitoring and responding to customer, supplier and author queries
* Assist with month end tasks such as sales report downloads and collating data and revenue reconciliation
* Royalty administration, including system data and account creation and maintenance
* Maintain sales reps commission data
* Budget code creation and data management in ERP
* Continual process improvement of internal systems
* Ad hoc finance and sales queries and tasks

* You are able to demonstrate impressive organisational skills, be highly motivated, proactive with intermediate to advance level excel, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with non-finance colleagues and external stakeholders.
* You are interested in a role that has visibility and involvement across multiple teams which requires adaptability and an ability to managing conflicting priorities and workloads.
