Role Overview
Store Manager in Newcastle Benton – 40 hours per week.
Our store operates 7 AM to 8 PM, so the manager must handle early starts and late finishes.
Responsibilities
Deliver an outstanding customer proposition and manage the Branch. Responsibilities include serving customers, checking deliveries, picking items from the warehouse, stocking shelves, and maintaining standards under varying weather. The role requires leading and motivating a team to achieve success.
Day-to-day
* Delivering great service – ensuring the team provides a great customer experience and drives sales through service.
* Mucking in – helping the team with unpacking deliveries, opening/closing the branch, stocking shelves, cleaning, and assembling orders.
* Inspiring – encouraging a positive mindset, building a culture of feedback, praise, and recognition.
* Asking questions and building relationships – supporting the team’s development, future business growth, and succession planning; ensuring customers leave with what they need.
* Leading – coaching, motivating, and engaging from the front, creating a great place to work where engagement matters.
* Building a fun working environment – maintaining product availability and high branch standards, making the branch a place everyone loves coming to work.
