Procurement Assistant – Construction/Civil Engineering – Manchester – 12 Month Contract (Maternity Cover) - £12.36 per hour
My client are a Utilities and Civil Engineering contractor who complete projects in the UK.
They are looking for a procurement assistant to join them for 12 months and assist the procurement team in their daily tasks. Due to the nature of the role, a background and experience in a construction or similar type of industry would be advantageous.
Duties include:
• Purchase Order Management:
Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Vendor Communication:
Liaising with suppliers to resolve issues, communicate delivery schedules, and maintain positive relationships.
• Inventory Control:
Monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock counts, and ensuring sufficient inventory to avoid shortages.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintaining accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and other related documents.
• Compliance and Policy Adherence:
Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Administrative Support:
Providing general administrative support to the procurement team, such as scheduling meetings and managing correspondence
