We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shuttle Driver to join our team. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for safely transporting plants and supplies to technicians at various jobsites across London. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to our service team.
1. Daily Route Planning and Execution:
* Review daily delivery schedules and ensure all necessary plants and supplies are loaded onto the designated delivery vehicle (van) the day before each delivery.
* Drive to designated drop-off points in London to distribute plants to technicians.
* Deliver plant materials and supplies to customer sites throughout London according to the schedule.
* Ensure accurate and safe delivery to the correct jobsite and technician.
1. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety:
* Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall condition.
* Adhere to traffic laws and company safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment.
* Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
* Return to the company location after deliveries to unload waste materials.
1. Customer Service:
* Provide courteous and professional interactions with clients.
* Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
* Maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times.
1. Other Duties as Assigned:
* Assist with loading/unloading, inventory management, and warehouse upkeep.
This role requires attendance at our Head Office in Henham each morning to collect the shuttle.
Requirements:
* Valid UK Driver's License with a clean driving record.
* Experience driving in London is essential.
* Experience with commercial vehicles (vans) is preferred.
* Excellent driving record focused on safety.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
* Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
