Overview

The Global Consultant Relations team at Allspring plays a pivotal role in advancing the firm's Corporate Strategy. With one of the most globally connected and experienced consultant relations teams in the industry, Allspring aims to deliver a seamless and impactful consultant client experience. The role focuses on securing new high-impact buy ratings and commercialising Allspring's existing ratings footprint. Reporting directly to the Head of International Consultant Relations, the candidate will be part of a Global Consultant Relations team of 10 dedicated professionals located across the UK and US. This role primarily supports Allspring's expanding UK and international consultant-driven business, contributing to strategic initiatives and deepening consultant engagement across key markets. The team supports regional leads, sales directors, and client relations directors in driving asset growth through client retention and new business development. A key part of the role is sharing consultant feedback with the business to support continuous product improvement. The team operates a hybrid working model with in-office requirements of at least 3 days per week.

* Allspring continues to build momentum with UK investment consultants; the successful candidate will elevate this presence.
* Spearhead the development and implementation of Allspring's strategy for UK-based consultants, managing key relationships and fostering engagement across the consultant landscape.
* Secure new high-impact buy ratings and commercialise Allspring's existing ratings footprint.
* Act as a strategic partner to the Global Consultant Relations team and contribute to the firm's global ratings strategy; over time, lead global consultant relationships based on prior experience.
* Engage directly with UK-based field consultants in partnership with the Head of International Consultant Relations; collaborate with the Head of Institutional - UK, Ireland & Netherlands and support regional leaders across international markets.
* Drive consultant-focused business initiatives from a distribution standpoint (e.g., buy ratings, product innovation, sustainable investing, stewardship, and diversity, equity and inclusion).
* Lead Allspring's consultant channel strategy across traditional areas and expand into emerging areas of consultant influence (wealth management, endowments, foundations, and insurance).
* Partner with sales, portfolio managers, product specialists, client relations, senior management, operations, risk management, technology, and support functions to manage all service, sales, and support activities for assigned consultants.
* Own the consultant RFP process with support from the RFP team and London-based distribution team.
* Provide feedback and recommendations to investment teams to better align Allspring's solutions with institutional consultants' needs.
* Develop presentations/marketing material in collaboration with internal marketing and compliance teams.
* Lead and coordinate consultant meetings and training sessions; prepare briefing documents/research and guide the consultant associate team.
* Collaborate with the Global Consultant Relations Team on global initiatives and support Head of International Consultant Relations in developing business strategy.
* Plan and execute UK Institutional Marketing and Event strategy in partnership with the UK Institutional team.
* Mentor other team members.


Experience and Qualifications

* Experience and proven success in working with investment consultants or equivalent large institutional asset owners.
* Proven track record with UK-focused consultants; ability to identify and influence decision-makers at consultants or UK institutional investors.
* Relationships with regional consultant offices preferred.
* A solutions mindset to understand consultant needs and address them using Allspring capabilities.
* Ability to hold consultative meetings and deliver solution-oriented proposals, including sustainable investing (a key focus area for Allspring's UK consultant strategy).


Preferred Qualifications

* Ideally have achieved professional investment management qualifications or equivalent (e.g., CFA/FIA/CIMA/CAIA).
* Sustainability-linked qualifications (e.g., CFA ESG Certificate or CFA Climate Certificate).


Regulatory and Certifications

This position is designated as a Certified Person function under the FCA Certification Regime. You must remain fit and proper to perform your role, assessed at least annually. In addition to the responsibilities summarized here, you are required to comply at all times with the FCA Conduct Rules:
