Vehicle Technician – £35,000 - £40,000 Starting Salary + 30-Day Pay Review
Monday to Friday | No Weekends | Weekly or Monthly Pay
An established and highly regarded independent garage is looking to add an experienced Vehicle Technician to its close-knit, professional workshop. This is a long-term, secure opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a business that still does things the right way.
This isn't a high-pressure, corner-cutting environment. The workshop is modern, clean, and well organised, fully equipped with up-to-date diagnostic equipment and properly maintained service bays. You'll be working on a steady flow of work from a loyal customer base who value quality and trust the garage to get it right first time.
What's on Offer
* £35,000 - £40,000 starting salary
* Pay review after just 30 days
* Weekly or monthly pay – whichever suits you
* Monday to Friday only – your weekends are yours
* Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
* 1-hour lunch break (13:00–14:00)
* 4 weeks annual holiday plus statutory bank holidays
* Permanent, full-time role with long-term stability
* Friendly, experienced team and hands-on management support
The Role
You'll be carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and general mechanical repairs across a range of vehicles. The focus is on quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics, and professional standards — not rushing jobs through or chasing unrealistic targets. If you take pride in your work and like leaving a job knowing it's been done properly, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Need
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a garage or workshop environment
* A recognised Motor Vehicle qualification (Level 2 or Level 3)
* Confidence carrying out servicing, repairs, and fault finding
* Diagnostic experience and a logical approach to problem solving
* A strong work ethic and pride in doing the job properly
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* MOT licence is beneficial but not essential
Why This Role Stands Out
This is a garage built on reputation, repeat business, and high standards. Technicians are valued, listened to, and treated like professionals — not numbers on a spreadsheet. Good work is recognised, experience is respected, and there's genuine job security for the right person.
If you're an experienced technician looking for good money, sensible hours, and a workshop that respects the trade, this is a role well worth applying for.
