SEN Teaching Assistant The Role

Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A welcoming school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support students with SEMH needs. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone with experience supporting students who require emotional and behavioural support in an educational setting.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will
 * Work 1:1 with students to support her academic engagement, wellbeing, and confidence
 * Provide consistent emotional support and help manage any SEMH-related challenges
 * Build a positive, trusting relationship that encourages progress and independence
 * Collaborate closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored interventions
SEN Teaching Assistant:
We are looking for someone who:
 1. Has experience supporting students with SEMH, anxiety, or behavioural needs
 2. Demonstrates empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
