RG Consultancy are pleased to be working with an established, family-run company based in Swinton who are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their team for a maternity cover.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a varied and hands-on role where your contribution will be valued. Youll be working in an established team of 4.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Bank reconciliations and posting bank transactions
* Handling supplier payments and remittances
* Credit control and managing customer accounts
* Assisting with VAT returns and other HMRC submissions
* Supporting with month-end processes and reports
* Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
* Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
* General administrative and data entry duties within the accounts department
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a similar accounts or finance assistant role
* Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
* Good Excel skills and attention to detail
* A team player with a flexible and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and organisational skills
