Job description:
Grounds Maintenance Operative – Cullompton
Our client requires Grounds Maintenance Operatives to carry out tasks such as strimming, hard and soft landscaping. Working in teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and much more
What we are looking for:
1. Experience within the grounds maintenance industry (preferred)
2. Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools ( strimmer’s, backpack blowers, push mowers etc.)
3. Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
4. Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment
5. Enthusiasm, good communication skills
6. Good understanding of health and safety
7. Ideally have a full, clean driving license
8. Will understand and the importance of working as a team
9. Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
10. A willingness to learn
11. Ability to work on one’s own initiative
12. CSCS card (preferred)
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday but there will be some weekend overtime available, paid at premium rates.
Rate of Pay
13. £ per hour
14. These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
15. Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
16. Weekly Pay
17. No Umbrella payments or fees
18. Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip
