Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll deliver high-quality, courteous, and efficient service to clients across the Northwest and Yorkshire, supported by a dedicated office team based in Milnrow, Rochdale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out reactive call outs, planned maintenance, and remedial works on small to medium AC and refrigeration systems.
2. Service and repair refrigeration units including cold rooms, blast chillers, freezer rooms, and packaged fridges/freezers.
3. Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the site requirements.
4. Maintain van stock and ensure all necessary materials and tools are available.
5. Complete digital job reports via our field service management software.
6. Communicate with customers professionally and courteously at all times.
7. Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (enhanced pay applies).
What We’re Looking For
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Valid F-Gas certification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level)
* Proven experience with refrigeration systems and small Air Conditioning systems
* Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
* Strong self-management and time-keeping abilities
* Comfortable using smartphone-based work systems
* Able to pass an enhanced DBS check (no convictions)
* City & Guilds 6187-21 (Hydrocarbons) or equivalent – essential
* CSCS card – desirable but not essential
