Project Overview
Bechtel’s team will operate as an integrated partner in support of the AWE Intelligent Client, working alongside AWE’s internal teams to support AWE as it aims to set up a new programme management function, drive delivery and integrate diverse delivery streams.
Job Summary
In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.
Major Responsibilities
 * Prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations
 * Establish and maintain the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
 * Perform schedule development duties including establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing required job expenditure
 * Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
 * Develop critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
 * Determine critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements
 * Identify and report activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule
 * Monitor and validate subcontractor schedules
 * Evaluate subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements
Education And Experience Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge And Skills
 * Demonstrated experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions including schedule development, control, and analysis, both in the field and at the home office.
 * Strong oral and written communication skills.
 * Proficient with PC operating systems and various essential software applications; advanced knowledge of multiple discipline-specific programs currently utilized at Bechtel, such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
 * Intermediate understanding of conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.
 * Intermediate familiarity with engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes as executed by Bechtel.
