Position Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join our award-winning team in West Kirby. This role is suitable for experienced legal secretaries and recent law graduates passionate about pursuing a career in Court of Protection and Mental Health Law.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Previous experience in a solicitors' firm.
* Desirable: Legal experience in mental health law.
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and a keen interest in this area.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Tact, resilience, and effective verbal and written communication.
* Proficiency in Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Fast and accurate audio typing, correspondence, and document production using digital dictation.
* Produce high-quality work within tight deadlines with attention to detail.
* File opening, closure, and archiving.
* Communicate with clients, experts, hospitals, and courts; take detailed messages and assist as needed.
* Manage fee earners' diaries, update key dates and appointments.
* Accurately record time and ensure all deadlines are met.
* Perform photocopying, scanning, printing, filing, and other administrative tasks.
* Prioritise tasks and adapt to changing demands.
