Export Customer Service Coordinator
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Export Customer Service Coordinator to join a busy Supply Chain team. This role is key in supporting international customers, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and delivered on time while providing a high level of customer service.
You'll act as a central point of contact for export customers and work closely with internal departments and logistics partners to ensure a smooth end-to-end process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process customer orders for export markets using an ERP system
2. Send daily order confirmations and proof of deliveries
3. Respond to and follow up on customer enquiries in a timely manner
4. Release orders to the warehouse for dispatch
5. Liaise with freight forwarders to obtain shipping quotations and arrange collections
6. Track shipments and provide customers with order status updates
7. Handle incoming calls and emails from customers
8. Work collaboratively with internal teams including Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, and Finance
9. Support colleagues within the customer service team as needed
About You
Essential
10. GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
11. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
12. Good organisational and time management skills
13. Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
14. A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks
15. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desirable
16. Previous experience in a customer service or supply chain role
17. Experience working with export processes
18. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
