Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term Time Only)

Salary: £13.51 – £14.45 per hour + £1,000 welcome bonus*
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a brand-new SEND school in Chaldon, Surrey. Our school supports young people aged 11–16 with needs related to social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing, commonly associated with autism.
With small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratios, and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, we provide a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both academic and personal development. This is more than a classroom support role—you will help inspire confidence, resilience, and a love of learning in every pupil.

* Support teachers in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum

* Support learning beyond the classroom, including community-based activities
* Adapt to a variety of tasks and provide support wherever needed
Skills & Qualifications
We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds—prior experience as a Teaching Assistant is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidates.
You will ideally have:
* GCSE Maths and English (minimum Functional Skills Level 2)
* A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
* Strong motivation to support and inspire young people
* Creativity and the ability to adapt learning to individual needs
* A commitment to promoting independence and positive behaviour
* Willingness to undertake training (e.g. Level 2 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
