Salary: £27,500 per annum Contract: Permanent Service Type: Residential Care Home Service Size: Up to 7 service users Shift Pattern: Mixed shifts Work Split: Combination of office-based and floor-based duties Primary Care Categories: Mental Health Conditions Physical Disability Visual and Hearing Impairment Eating Disorders Alcohol and Drug Misuse Younger Adults Length of Stay: Permanent Care About the Role We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to join a small, specialist residential service supporting younger adults with a range of complex needs. These include mental health conditions, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, eating disorders and substance misuse. The service supports a maximum of seven individuals, allowing for a highly personalised and person-centred approach to care. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational responsibilities with direct support on the floor. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service while maintaining high standards of care and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Support the Registered Manager with the overall management of the service * Lead shifts and provide high-quality, person-centred support * Supervise, mentor and support staff performance and development * Assist with rota planning, audits and compliance tasks * Maintain and review care plans, risk assessments and records * Liaise with external professionals and support admissions and reviews Shifts and Working Pattern The role involves a mixture of shifts, combining office-based duties with hands-on floor work. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service and the staff team. What We're Looking For * NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care * Experience in a senior or leadership role (preferred) * Strong communication and organisational skills * Confidence in leading and supporting staff teams * A flexible, proactive and professional approach * Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care Who This Role Would Suit This position is ideal for an experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader ready to step into management, or an established Deputy Manager seeking a new challenge in a smaller residential setting.
