NES Fircroft is supporting a key Oil & Gas client in Aberdeen with a ROV Project Engineer role on a long-term contract basis.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendor according to established processes and protocols. The engineer will be responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation.
This is a 12-month PAYE contract, working full-time hours (37.5 hours per week). After initial training, the role will follow a 3/2 hybrid shift pattern.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Completing documentation and manuals associated with newbuild subsea and ROV systems and equipment.
* Reviewing procedures and drawings to ensure practicality from an ROV operations perspective.
* Understanding and aligning with the client's current requirements and applicable industry codes and standards, including statutory rules and regulations.
* Ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
* Prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
Required Experience and Skills:
* Completed engineering studies at university or college level, or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of offshore ROV operations, particularly subsea construction and remote intervention.
* Up-to-date knowledge of ISO 13628-8 standards related to ROV interfaces on subsea production systems.
* Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment.
* Good understanding of ROV system design and system-level engineering.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MathCAD, and AutoCAD.
* Ability to work independently, coordinate resources, contribute actively, and solve problems.
* Effective communication skills at all levels and confidence in supervising other technical disciplines.
