The role of Project Worker will include:
* Providing support to encourage young people to maximise their own potential and independence.
* Providing high-quality, person-centred support to enable and empower customers to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
* Establishing professional relationships with all customers, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence through developing daily living skills and social engagement, ensuring that customers maintain personal choice, privacy, and dignity.
* Assisting customers in understanding and planning their support package, focusing on positive outcomes to maximise their potential and enable them to exercise choice and control.
* Providing advocacy to support customers and their families when required.
* Liaising with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable customers to access and maintain a level of integration within the wider community.
* Managing the implementation of safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of customers and to avoid potential risks to stakeholders and the business.
* Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate.
* Contributing, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives.
Skills and experiences:
* Experience of working with vulnerable children and young adults.
* Proven knowledge of key needs and services for relevant customer groups.
* Some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Good understanding of written and spoken English.
* Good communication skills.
* Good interpersonal and customer care skills.
* Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to customers regardless of their needs.
* Ability to keep accurate records and clearly communicate relevant information.
* Ability to make accurate simple calculations.
* Proficiency in email and internet communications.
* Driving license and access to your own vehicle.
