Overview
As Environment Inspection Officer you will help residents to live in a clean, safe, accessible environment by carrying out Health and Safety inspections across all playgrounds, parks, cemeteries, allotments, and green spaces and making recommendations to the Green Space Managers and Chargehands for repairs.
Responsibilities
* Carry out Health and Safety inspections across all playgrounds, parks, cemeteries, allotments, and green spaces and make recommendations to the Green Space Managers and Chargehands for repairs.
* Ensure all park buildings are compliant with the Health and Safety policy around fire inspection and procedure testing.
* Develop, implement and embed a new quality standard for cleanliness and green spaces in the District and support Green Space Managers to work with operational teams to understand and apply standards in daily activities.
* Review park management plans and contribute to continuous improvement in environmental management and safety compliance.
Qualifications
You must have knowledge of countryside management, environmental legislation and SSSI guidance and knowledge of Waste and Environmental Services with experience in carrying out Health and Safety audits and inspections and experience of reviewing park management plans.
