Join to apply for the 2nd Chef role at Care Concern Group. Location: Perth, Scotland, United Kingdom. This is a full-time contract role based at Kingfisher House Care Home, a brand-new facility offering Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care.

What You Will Do
You will prepare, cook, and serve a range of hot and cold meals, taking into account residents’ dietary needs and preferences. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will contribute to menu planning, stock control, and ordering, while maintaining accurate records such as temperature checks to ensure compliance with food safety standards. You will also help manage kitchen operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring food production stays within budget and that cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. When required, you will take charge of the kitchen, supporting colleagues and ensuring a smooth service.
What We’re Looking For
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)
* Culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706 1 & 2, or equivalent, are desirable but not essential
* Experience preparing meals for different dietary needs
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Previous experience in a care environment is beneficial but not essential – full training will be provided
